You will need the Adobe Reader, which is available for Windows, Mac, or Unix platforms. If you don't have the Adobe Reader, you can download it directly from the Adobe web site.

We suggest that before purchasing an electronic book, you download a sample PDF. Many of our books have excerpts available in PDF that can be downloaded.

How do I pick up my e-book?

As soon as a book is ordered you will receive confirmation of your order by email. After your credit card has been verified, you will be sent an email for each book you ordered, containing a web link which you can follow to pick up your book. Remember to save the file after downloading your book.

Can I print my e-book?

Yes. You can download the book, print it out, and share it with a friend just as you might do with a traditional print book. However, if you "borrow" an e-book, enjoy it, and it's something which you want to "keep", please buy your own copy. By showing support for the electronic publishing industry, you will ensure that e-books continue to be viable in the future. Think of it like shareware for computers -- if you use it, and you like it, please buy it. What you cannot legally do is distribute copies of the e-book, either digital or printed.

How long will it take to download an e-book?

Approximate download times for the most common Internet connections (28.8K, 56K, or cable modem/DSL) are given for each book on the book's description page.

I'm getting an error message/I'm not able to view the whole file.

Check that the entire file downloaded. The description page for the e-book lists the size of the file in kilobytes. If there is a discrepancy between the listed file size and the size of the downloaded file, the file did not download properly, and will have to be downloaded again.

Problems with viewing the file that are unrelated to the download could indicate hardware problems or a faulty Reader. Technical support for the Adobe Reader is available from Adobe at www.adobe.com.
